Divyam Educom Private Limited (registered under the Companies Act, 1956) [hereinafter, “Our Company”] is a private limited Company and operates under the Trade Name of “The Study IAS/ The Study By Manikant Singh/ The Study IAS by Manikant Singh/ TheStudyIAS/ The Study – an Institute for IAS” [hereinafter, “The Study IAS”]. At Our Company, data protection is a matter of trust, and your privacy is very important to us. We at Our Company are committed to the need for appropriate protection and management of any “personal information” that you share with us. We use your “personal information” only in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy. Please read this privacy policy to learn more about our information gathering and usage of the gathered information practices.
"Personal Information" may mean any information that can be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home or other physical and virtual address, an email address, or any other contact information that we may require.
The privacy practices of this statement apply to our services available under the domain and sub-domains of “www.thestudyias.com” and/or any other domain The Study IAS might hire/purchase/rent for expansion of business and/or provide any service/s committed to the students (hereinafter, “Site”). Our Mobile and web applications, “The Study IAS By Manikant Singh” (hereinafter “Our Application”), generally apply to our parent, affiliates, subsidiaries or joint venture websites, inclusive of, but not limited to, Our YouTube Channel, Instagram Id, Facebook Id and Page, LinkedIn Id, X account (formerly known as Twitter), etc. By visiting the Site or any of the Application/Webpage/YouTube Page/Facebook Page/Instagram ID/X Account/LinkedIn Account, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how Our Company gathers personal information, classified as mandatory or optional as part of the normal operation of our services; and uses, discloses and/or protects such information through the Site. This detailed privacy policy enables you to take informed decisions in dealings with us. Our parent, subsidiaries and joint ventures operate under this privacy practices subject to the requirements of applicable law.

By enrolling for any of the courses/test series courses/interview guidance programs/academic guidance/any paid or unpaid service availed at The Study IAS By Manikant Singh, you agree to allow The Study IAS to publish your photo, testimonial, and name among successful candidates from The Study IAS and/or as a Student of The Study IAS.

In general, you can visit the Site/Our Application without having to provide your personal information. During this time, you remain anonymous and at no time can we identify you unless you have an account on the Site/Our Application and log in with your username and password. Once you provide your personal information, you are no longer anonymous to us. The personal information that we collect is to identify you and to ensure that we provide you with the correct feedback as well as access to our services, that you require for performance in various tests, thus, to help you get superior quality educational feedback as well as avail our services without any hassle. The information collected enables us to give you convenient access to our services, offerings, and products, and it may help us tailor your educational experience.
4.1 Information You Share: The information that we collect is used to provide you with efficient services. You share your details like your name, email address, and other personal information like contact details to use certain features of our Site/Application. We also may ask for this information at other times, such as when you enter contests or other promotions sponsored by us and/or our partners or seek any enquiry or technical support from us etc. If you use a feature that requires payment of a fee, we collect your credit card data or payment account information. When you use one of our paid products, we track the web pages and information that you have accessed and store it on our servers. This enables us to track items that you have completed and those that you need to see. 4.2 Cookies: Some of our web pages utilise "cookies" and other tracking technologies. A "cookie" is a small text file that may be used, for example, to collect information about your website activity. Some cookies and other technologies may serve to recall personal information previously indicated by a web user. It is on you to set most browsers to notify if you receive a cookie, or if you may choose to block cookies from your browser, but please note that if you choose to erase or block your cookies, you will need to re-enter your original user ID and password to gain access to certain parts of the web site and some sections of the site would not work. 4.4 User communications:When you send email or other communication to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your enquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.
4.5 Links:We may present links in a format that enables us to keep track of whether these links have been followed. We use this information to improve our customized content. Clicking on links may take you to sites outside our domain. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other web sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by our website.
4.6 Alerts:We may alert you by email, phone call, or message if we update our website in a way that we believe you should know about. These alerts are usually prompted by new features on the websites or substantial improvements in the products and offers we offer.
4.7 Public Forums:When you use certain features on our Site/YouTube Channel/Facebook Page/LinkedIn and X Account like the discussion forums, comments and you post or share your personal information such as comments, messages, files, photos, it will be available to all users, and will be in the public domain. All such sharing of information is done at your own risk. Please keep in mind that if you disclose personal information in your profile or when posting on our forums, this information may become publicly available.
4.8 Data Security:If you use a feature requiring payment of a fee, we transmit your credit card data to our bank/our payment application/s for processing. If we encounter a problem with payment, we may review the order information with you and our bank to resolve it. We do not otherwise disclose your credit card information. We do not share your email address or your personal information with third-party marketers except for payment collection services. We offer secure pages to collect sensitive information on our order form, such as credit card information. We also use administrative, physical and technical precautions to help protect the confidentiality, security and integrity of personal information stored on our system. We host the site at a commercial-grade data centre that employs extensive security practices. While no computer system is completely secure, the measures implemented by our Site reduce the likelihood of security problems to a level appropriate to the type of data involved.
Other than the above-mentioned sharing of data related to credit card information, we only share personal information with other companies or individuals outside of Our Company in the following limited circumstances.
We have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to:
a. Satisfy any applicable law, regulation, or legal process or is an enforceable governmental request; b. Enforce applicable terms of use, including investigation of potential violations thereof; c. Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; or d. Protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of Our Company, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.
Suppose we become involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of our assets. In that case, we will provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. We may provide information to service providers to help us bring you the services we offer. Specifically, we may use third parties to facilitate our business, such as collecting payment, providing lectures or videos, or hosting the service at a co-location facility for servers. Where we utilise third parties for the processing of any personal information, we implement reasonable contractual and technical protections limiting the use of that information to our specified purposes.
Our Company displays targeted advertisements based on personal information. Advertisers (including ad-serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click on targeted ads meet the targeting criteria - for example, people aged 18- 24 from a particular geographic area.
Our Company does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted advertisement. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad, you consent to the possibility that the advertiser will assume that you meet the targeting criteria used to advertise.
Our Company advertisers may include financial service providers (such as banks, insurance agents, stock brokers, and mortgage lenders), non-financial companies (such as stores, airlines, and software companies), and any type of company organisation.
Currently, we plan to retain user data while an account is active and for at least three years after that. However, we may alter this practice according to legal and business requirements. For example, we may lengthen the retention period for some data if necessary to comply with law or voluntary codes of conduct. Similarly, unless otherwise prohibited, we may shorten the retention period for some types of data if necessary to free up storage space.
You can access and manage your account information, update your usage by accessing further paid services or products, or change details such as your email address and personal information.
Our Company will not contact children under 13 about special offers or for marketing purposes without their parent's permission.
After the purchase of the Online Live Course, Live Classes will be available for the duration of the completion of a course in one cycle. Thereafter, the recorded class of the same live class will be accessible to students for viewing up to 5 times for a period of 545 days (1.5 years) from the date of purchase. One Cycle means from the starting of one segment till the time the classes come back to the same segment; for instance, if Student A has purchased Live Course from Ancient Indian History Part 1 and Student B has purchased Live Course from Modern Indian History, then Live Classes of Student A will end after completion World History, i.e., completion of one Cycle Ancient Indian History Part 1 – Ancient Indian History Part 2 - Medieval Indian History – Modern Indian History – World History; and similarly, Live Classes for Student B will end after completion of Medieval Indian History. However, a Live Course with recorded classes will be available to both Student A and Student B for up to 545 days (1.5 years) from the date of purchase.
Online Study Materials in the form of .pdf files will be valid and visible for the same course as those purchased by the Student. However, a student can download the .pdf files or print them at their convenience. Suppose the same is not downloaded/printed. In that case, access to the Online Study Materials will be revoked after the expiry of the course and Our Institution will not be responsible for it, nor will any extension be granted for downloading the Study materials.
Weekly Tests will be conducted for all the students of the Online Live Batch along with Offline Students; questions will be provided to the students, which they can attempt and send to the institution for evaluation of the questions. Attempted answers are to be sent in .pdf format through the Application/Email/WhatsApp number provided to the students. Answers will only be evaluated during the active course period. No answer will be evaluated after the expiry of the Course.
Non-payment of fees or instalments will lead to discontinuation of the Course.
Online recorded courses can be purchased in two formats: either the whole course can be purchased in one go, or modules can be purchased separately. If a module is purchased separately, each student will be entitled to view each class up to 5 times within the duration of 180 days from the date of purchase of the module course. If the whole course is purchased, either in instalments or one-time payment, each student is entitled to view each class up to 5 times within the duration of 365 days from the date of purchase.
Online study materials in the form of .pdf files will be valid and visible for the same course as purchased by the Student. However, a student can download the PDF files or print them at their convenience. If the same is not downloaded/printed, access to the Online Study Materials will be revoked after the expiry of the course, and Our Institution will not be responsible for it. No extension will be granted for downloading the Study materials.
Live Doubt classes with Manikant Singh will be accessible for all students of Online Recorded Course simultaneously for the duration of their Course irrespective of the date of purchase of the course occasionally (subject to availability of Sir and other factors). Separate classes for Hindi medium and English Medium will be conducted, and students will only be eligible to attend the class in only one language of the course they have purchased. Notification about the timing will be given a day prior to the students through WhatsApp Chat/group. Timing for the Doubt Session is not fixed and is subject to change as per the availability of Manikant Sir.
Weekly questions will be provided to the students, which they can attempt and send to the institution for evaluation. Attempted answers are to be sent in .pdf format through the Application/Email/WhatsApp number provided to the student. Answers will only be evaluated during the active Course. No answer will be evaluated after the expiry of the Course.

Soft copies of study materials in the form of .pdf files will be available for the same course as those purchased by the student. However, a student can download the PDF files or print them at their convenience or can store them in Pen Drive itself. However, we recommend downloading the same to your local device so that it can stay with the students in case the Pen Drive gets wiped or corrupted. If the same is not downloaded/printed till the time a Student is eligible for the Course, i.e. within the validity period, a copy of the same will not be provided, and Our Institution will not be responsible for it, nor any extension will be granted for downloading the Study materials.
For Doubt clearance, the mobile number of our Class Coordinator will be provided to the students, who can call the batch coordinator between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. during the validity of their course.
Every week, students will be provided with a few questions to attempt and send to the institution for evaluation. Attempted answers are to be sent in .pdf format through the Application/Email/WhatsApp number provided to the student. Answers will only be evaluated during the period of the active Course. No answer will be evaluated after the expiry of the Course.
If the Pen Drive is corrupted when received by the Students, Our Institution will provide them with a replacement. However, if after activation, there is any loss of the Pen Drive or the Pen Drive gets corrupted, Students can get a replacement; however, they will need to pay the charges for the Pen Drive, as informed by Our Institution.
On purchase of Correspondence Course/Books/Materials, Students will receive a set of printed books for their study. The books will be sent through the courier after the payment has been received.
We provide access to personal information about you to our employees, who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or help them do their jobs. We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with the laws prevalent in India to protect personal information about you. We seek to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Rules made there to ensure the protection and preservation of your privacy.
All course materials, including but not limited to lecture notes, practice questions, and test series content, are the intellectual property of The Study IAS.
Students are prohibited from reproducing, distributing, or sharing any course materials without explicit written permission from The Study IAS.
11.3 Course Design and Methodology:All courses and programs offered by The Study IAS are developed and delivered according to our proprietary pedagogy and teaching patterns.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or alter our course content and teaching methodologies as well as the Teacher/s or Teaching Faculty at any time to align with UPSC examination requirements or to enhance the learning experience. The Study IAS reserves the right to change the timetable or any set program in case of unavoidable circumstances. In case of an outbreak of COVID or any other pandemic or any government regulation, the same will be followed. Students are requested to cooperate with the management.
Success in the UPSC Civil Services examination depends on various factors, including individual effort and performance, which are beyond the control of The Study IAS.
The Study IAS reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Students will be notified of any changes, and continued use of our Services will constitute acceptance of the modified terms.
By enrolling in our courses or utilising our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
The policy shall come into effect from the date of such update, change or modification. You are requested to visit the Website from time to time to stay upto date with the Terms and Conditions/Privacy Policy.
Our Company welcomes your comments regarding this privacy statement at the contact address on the website. Should there be any concerns about contravention of this Privacy Policy, Our Company will employ all commercially reasonable efforts to address them.
Once paid, the fee will not be refunded or adjusted to another Course, and no cancellation requests will be entertained. In extraordinary situations where a student seeks a Refund and/or cancellation of their Course, the same is possible within 7 days (including Demo classes taken, either online or Offline) from the start of the class. However, the Refund of the amount paid is subject to the following deductions, which include: 1. GST amount paid or to be paid to the Government, 2. Any other Tax/Government deductions as made or applicable by the Government of India, 3. Any service availed or books/booklets taken by the student.
The student can be expelled from the institution without any compensation in case of undisciplined or unruly behaviour.
