MPPSC SSE is the state-level competitive exam conducted by Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission for State Civil Services. It includes Prelims, Mains, and Interview.
One day, two objective papers (OMR). Each paper is 200 marks / 2 hours. Both papers are compulsory. Question papers are bilingual (Hindi and English). Negative marking = ⅓ per wrong answer.

Candidates who qualify the MPPSC Prelims appear for the Mains Examination. It consists of 6 descriptive papers, covering General Studies, Hindi, and Essay. Marks in all papers are added to the merit list — there are no “qualifying-only” papers.
The MPPSC Personality Test carries 185 marks (recently revised from 175). Its score is added to the Mains marks to prepare the final merit list. Candidates are interviewed by a Board constituted by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission to judge suitability for state administrative services.
Candidates must bring originals + self-attested copies for verification.
Failure to produce valid documents may lead to disqualification.
