Ekagra 2027 is the dedicated UPSC Prelims Test Series of The Study IAS, built from the Prelims testing architecture used inside the UMDA preparation system. It is designed for aspirants who want the testing layer without joining the complete mentorship programme.
The programme includes 75 tests: 65 General Studies tests + 10 CSAT tests. It runs from mid-November 2026 to April 2027 and remains valid till UPSC Prelims 2027.
Offline: ₹10,000 + 18% GST = ₹11,800 payable | Online: ₹8,000 + 18% GST = ₹9,440 payable
A large number of mock tests are useless if they are attempted without sequence, review or correction. Ekagra therefore moves from PYQ understanding → sectional mastery → combinational retention → Current Affairs application → full-length execution.
The objective is to make every test diagnostic: what did you not know, what did you misread, where did elimination fail, where did time get wasted and what must be revised before the next paper?
The GS component contains 65 tests with 4,120 questions. The structure is: 20 PYQ Tests, 24 Sectional Tests, 5 Combinational Tests, 6 Current Affairs Tests and 10 Full GS Tests.
PYQ tests help aspirants recognise recurring themes, statement patterns, conceptual traps and the level of detail UPSC expects. They act as the first layer of preparation so later tests are attempted with a clearer understanding of UPSC demand.
Sectional tests cover the major Prelims subjects in a controlled sequence. They allow students to check retention soon after preparation, identify weak themes and correct them before those gaps become hidden inside full-length scores.
As preparation expands, UPSC does not present subjects in separate boxes. Combinational tests mix already-covered areas so students repeatedly retrieve older subjects while learning newer ones.
Current Affairs is tested through Prelims-style questions, including contemporary developments, important themes, Places and Species in News, and Budget/Economic Survey-linked areas reflected in the academic schedule.
Full-length GS tests reproduce the larger decision environment of Prelims: question selection, elimination, uncertainty, pacing, risk and accuracy across a complete paper.
Ekagra also includes 10 CSAT tests so Paper II is not postponed until the final weeks. The aim is regular qualification-oriented practice alongside GS preparation.
Detailed explanations help students review not only the correct answer but the logic behind it. The useful question after every test is not merely “What was my score?” but “Why did I lose these marks, and what must I change before the next test?”
Mentor support helps students interpret performance, identify recurring weaknesses and organise revision priorities. Testing becomes meaningful when the next study cycle changes because of the previous test.
Students enrolled in Ekagra 2027 who qualify UPSC Prelims 2027 become eligible for free access to Manikant Sir’s Mains Crash Course for Mains 2027 preparation.
Previous-year-question based testing across major GS subjects to understand recurring UPSC themes, statement construction and conceptual demand.
Subject-wise testing across Polity, History, Geography, Economy, Environment, Science & Technology and related Prelims areas to diagnose gaps soon after preparation.
Mixed-subject papers that combine completed areas to strengthen long-term retention, recall and interlinkage.
Prelims-oriented Current Affairs testing covering contemporary themes, Places and Species in News, and Budget/Economic Survey-linked areas reflected in the academic plan.
Full-length General Studies papers for time management, elimination, uncertainty handling, question selection and complete-paper execution.
Separate CSAT testing to maintain Paper II qualification readiness throughout the Prelims cycle.
Post-test explanations designed to clarify concepts, reasoning and why distractor options fail.
Use test performance to identify weak subjects, recurring error patterns and revision priorities before subsequent tests.
Progression from targeted testing to full-paper readiness, using performance evidence to guide revision as Prelims approaches.
Ekagra follows a performance-improvement cycle rather than a score-collection model: attempt the test → analyse the score → read detailed explanations → classify errors → revise the relevant concept → change attempt strategy → test again.
Errors are separated into conceptual gaps, factual recall problems, misreading, poor elimination, over-attempting, under-attempting and time-management failures. This turns every test into the starting point for the next revision cycle.
The sequence moves deliberately from PYQs and sectional tests to combinational, Current Affairs and full-length papers, so the student gradually shifts from topic-level preparation to complete Prelims execution.
75 tests: 65 General Studies tests and 10 separate CSAT tests.
