There are two steps in the preparation of any examination:
the mental preparedness and then its utilisation into performance.
In both the steps guidance has a special role. To prepare
students mentally for obtaining good marks and enabling
them to make efforts for it is our priority. We believe
that they are not the best teachers who believe only in
teaching but those who infuse interest among students for
study. We organise written and oral evaluation programmes
periodically in order to sharpen the competitive edge of
the students. It is the aptitude for cut throat competition,
which shapes up the environment for success. In addition,
our faculties analyse the mental state of the students prior
to the examination as well as in examination halls. They
combine the analysis with their own first-hand experience
of the interview in order to come up with a viable solution
for the prospective candidates out to face the interview.
The Study provides the teaching of Optional
Subjects and General Study on the basis of uniform and balanced
views. For this stress is given on analysis along with the
extension of the formative period and an easy-to-understand
coaching of the subjects. The institute puts high premium
on notional clarity.
Normally it is seen that, after the completion of syllabus,
the relation with the teachers as well as the institute
becomes inaccessible, even though the fact remains that
the students need greater guidance and help during their
period of self-study. The next problems for the students
are separation and the gap between the preparation and performance.
It is necessary for them to fill in the gaps between preparation
and performance because it is impossible to reach the height
of success without bridging the gap. For this, institute
has taken two important steps which turn out to be beneficial
for students:
- The availability of teachers at personal
level and in view of personal aspects their guidance
to students.
- Taking into account the difficulties
faced by students during preparation and the gaps between
preparation and performance, before main examination
each year, a quality improvement programme known as
crash course is organized for 60-70 hours.
In addition, prior to the Preliminary and Main Examinations,
mock-examinations are held each year in order to give the
candidates a feel of the ambience of the formal examination
hall.
